Job Description – hr manager Overall Purpose of the Job

Overall Responsibilities 

1.

 

To the school 

a)

 

To  work  with  colleagues  to  promote  and  maintain  high  standards  of  administrative  and 

technical  support.  To  become  familiar  with,  and  practise  school  policies,  in  particular  those 

relating to Health and Safety, Confidentiality and Child Protection; to be responsible for a safe, 

healthy office environment.

 

 

b)

 

To maintain high personal standards of punctuality and appearance. 

c)

 

To help to create and promote an image of the school which is in accordance with its ethos and 

values. 

d)

 

To be responsible to the Head for participating in emergency routines such as fire practices. 

e)

 

To  seek  the  Head’s  authorisation  for  any  anticipated  absence  from  school;  to  give  as  much 

notice as possible of unavoidable absence through sickness. 

f)

 

To attend all relevant meetings with colleagues. 

g)

 

To participate in all aspects of staff development as outlined in the Staff Development Policy 

and to attend relevant courses and actively seek to broaden knowledge and skills relevant to 

responsibilities. 

h)

 

To  organise  and  manage  the  equipment  and  resources  to  ensure  that  tasks  are  prioritised, 

allocated  and  carried  out  to  the  agreed  standards  of  service  and  the  flow  of  information  is 

efficient.
