Abstract.  Promising  distance  learning  models  will  allow  students  to  work  in  modes 

ranging from rigidly controlled, setting the executive activity of the learner within the 

strictly  defined  framework  of  information  and  training  program,  to  exploratory, 

conducted in the context of working on a single group project or individual research.
