My big sister Marta loves team sports! She plays on a soccer team in the 

summer. In the winter, she plays volleyball and basketball. Marta says team sports 

help her stay healthy. Running, jumping, and throwing balls is good exercise. She 

says that sports are good for the mind, too. Players must make choices. They 

have to think fast. 

Marta thinks team sports are the best. Team sports teach you how to play with 

others. Team sports also teach people how to be fair. They learn good ways to act 

when they lose, too. 

I like swimming and bike riding. You can do them by yourself or with a friend. 

You don’t have to wait for a team to get together.
