student described the British Houses of Parliament as ‘a place where people go
and argue about what to do.’
And another student said ‘I call that home,’ which got a big laugh

student was playing off the unusual way we are describing things, using it as a
set-up as we do in other joke writing methods.
To do it this way, write out your answers to the surrealist inquisition, have a
break and then study the lines the way you would study a newspaper or
magazine looking for jokes. The difference being that these should be way out
there wacky ways of looking at things which should help bring home those lines.
Summary Surrealist comedy is often about looking at things from unusual angles, use the
