3. Is watching TV a popular thing to do in your country?
It is popular with a lot of middle-aged people like my parents, for example, who always
turn on the TV as soon as they get home. They like to have some kind of noise in the house.
I don’t know why. I guess it’s a habit, or it makes them feel like they’re not alone maybe. I
don’t know. However, young people these days definitely spend more time on the Internet
rather than watching TV programs. And online, they can also download films and foreign TV
series like Prison Break, or Friends. They find it more fun than watching CCTV, the national
channels.
