Approbation of the research work. The results of the research work were 
approbated in discussion being the scientific reports of 6 International and 3 
Republic conferences. 
Publication of the research results. The results of the scientific research are 
demonstrated in 20 scientific works including 8 scientific articles, among them 5 
are published in Republic and 3 in International scientific journals (including 
Scopus journal) recommended by High Attestation Commission of the Republic of 
Uzbekistan. 
The structure and volume of the thesis. The dissertation consists of 
Introduction, 3 chapters, conclusions on chapters, Conclusion, List of used 
literature. The volume of the dissertation contains 148 printed pages. 
THE MAIN CONTENT OF THE DISSERTATION 
In Introduction part the topicality and relevance of the research are 
substantiated, the aim and objectives of the research, its object and subject are 
formulated, its conformity with the priorities of development of science and 
technology of the Republic of Uzbekistan is shown, the scientific novelty and 
practical results of the study are described, the theoretical and practical 
significance of the obtained results are revealed, a list of introducing the research 
results into practice, published works and information on the structure of the 
dissertation are provided. 
In the first chapter of the dissertation «Essential linguistic problems of 
intercultural communication» (in 3 paragraphs) the role of intercultural 
communication in development of language systems is defined, the main problems

of intercultural communication are revealed and lingual-cultural peculiarities of the 
Uzbek and English languages are described. 
Language is a means of communication. Human-beings can’t exist without 
communication. So, language performs social function in human society. A 
language is a historical document which reflects history, economy, culture, 
mentality, religion and other nationally specific information of its bearers. For 
thousand years there has been accumulated non-countable number of lingual facts, 
which became the objects of investigations fulfilled by linguists. They paid 
attention not only to one definite language, but also to sociolingual, ethnic-cultural, 
semantic-structural similarities and differences between them. In this way 
comparative study became a separate and huge direction of linguists’ 
investigations. 
Scientists have explained the term “culture” from different aspects. Edward T. 
Hall defines culture as “the way of life of people, the sum of their learned 
behaviour patterns, attitudes and material things”

. Schultz defines culture as 
follows: “It includes knowledge and beliefs of the group of people who share 
common conventions to help articulate their understandings of life and of 
themselves. We all have such subconscious knowledge in our minds, just as we 
have the subconscious knowledge of our language”

maintain that culture is composed of “everything that a person should know to be 
able to feel and to do, in order to succeed in behaving and acting in an environment 
like somebody from this environment”
