22. What are the main functions of the Appeals Chamber?
The Appeals Chamber is composed of the President of the Court and four other judges. All parties
to the trial may appeal or seek leave to appeal decisions of the Pre-Trial and Trial Chambers. The
Appeals Chamber may uphold, reverse or amend the decision appealed from, including judgments and
sentencing decisions, and may even order a new trial before a different Trial Chamber.
It may also revise a final judgment of conviction or sentence.
