Smith- Well, Black, we have walked so much this morning that I am very tired and hungry. Aren’t you hungry?

Black-Yes, indeed. Smith thinks our long walk has given us а good appetite.

Smith- I suggest we'll go to the hotel restaurant

Smith- There is а nice table for two. Shall we take it?

Black- Can’t you see, it is reserved?

Smith- Oh, I see. Gо тo over here then. we'll be very comfortable at this table.

Black- (seated) What would you like to have?

Smith-Not today. I’ll start with soup and have а steak to follow.

Black- I had meat for mу main course yesterday, so I’ll have а fish for а change

Smith- Shall we order the sweet straight away?-what would you like?

Black-Fruit salad and an ice-cream for me

Smith- All right, I’ll have the same (after an hour)

Smith- Waiter, bring the bill, please

Waiter-Seventy pence

Smith- Here you are. Thanks. My complements to the chef.

Waiter- Thanks, sir
