Abstract: 

The article provides information about the Android operating system, 

its capabilities, basics of operation, the convenience of the operating system. The first 

device running Android was HTC's HTC Dream smartphone on September 23, 2008 

(introduced  by  T-Mobile  as  T-Mobile  G1).  Requests  from  other  smartphone  makers 

to release devices under the Android OS soon surfaced. When tablet-specific version 

3  of  Android  (Honeycomb)  came  out, tablet  makers also  liked  Android. Google  has
