An evaluation of the tour service is the use of the guide's instructions to guide the tourists to the final conclusion on the topic.

  • Attitude to the tour service - this is a clear view of the tourist about the historical period covered by the tour service; to feel an action, to understand the mood of a writer or artist when he creates his work.

    Excursion service as a communication form


  • Two different forms of communication can be encountered in people’s daily activities: direct communication and indirect communication. Direct communication includes conversations, lectures, classes, discussions, rallies, telephone calls, field trips, and so on In the process of such communication, people form common feelings, moods, thoughts, understand each other, learn information, and strengthen interaction.

  • Indirect forms of communication include: newspapers, magazines, books, radio, and television. In such a communication process, there is no feedback that reflects the subject's reaction to the information as a direct communication process.

    The guided tour is a form of direct communication in which the guide and the tour guide work together, exchanging ideas and interacting with each other. It allows people to receive large amounts of information, forms the ability to think. In the process of communication in the excursion service, solidarity in the actions of the individual in the group, emotional understanding of each other, the formation of commonalities of moods, thoughts, views are achieved.

Properly organized interaction between the guide and the tourists is the basis of the pedagogical process, as excursions. The communicative component is a key part of a guide’s professional skills. The effectiveness of the tour service depends not only on the knowledge of the guide on the topic, the method of conveying it to the audience, but also on the interaction with the tourists, other professionals.
