While some people argue that artificial intelligence advancements will have a positive influence on our lives in the near future, others believe that we are unprepared for a world in which computers outperform humans in terms of intelligence. I personally agree with the former idea.
On the one hand, It is undeniable that the improvement of AI will create a better life for mankind. It is true that AI can be applied to many aspects of life occupation. For instance, artificial intelligence and industrial robots have almost completely replaced the role of workers who stand in front of the machines, humans only need to operate at some important links of the production chain. Furthermore, machines can work continuously without stopping, so the productivity of a factory will be greatly increased, thus, the quality and the quantity of the product will be boosted. 
On the other hand, there is a common belief that AI could become a threat to humans. The reason why they think so is due to the fact that robots may become so smart in the future, maybe even to the point where humans could not take control. There is a fact that in some movies such as Transformers, Avengers: Age of Ultron or The Terminator, robots were so smart that they could get out of hand of humans and return to invade the earth. In addition, with the advancement of technology, scientists have invented machines that can automatically work and make decisions without human control, Tesla electric car is an example. Therefore, some people have lots of reason to believe that in the near future, AI will be able to take control of humans.
In conclusion, while there are convincing arguments on both sides of the debate, I strongly believe that developments of artificial intelligence will provide significant advantages.
