Research results and discussion. 

The study of the dynamics of changes revealed that the QOL of patients with 

epilepsy  is  a  systemic  characteristic  and  depends  on  a  number  of  clinical, 

psychoemotional  and  social  factors.  Follow-up  observations  show  that  in 

people  with  epilepsy,  various  psychosocial  and  non-medical  problems  are 

more common than in the general population. Common non-medical problems 

include  feelings  of  stigma,  psychological  distress,  unemployment,  low  self-

esteem,  and  interpersonal  problems,  including  low  levels  of  social  isolation 

and adjustment.
