Nowadays, international tourism is the biggest industry in the world. Unfortunately, international tourism creates tension rather than understanding between people from different cultures.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
For the last couple of years, tourism industry has become a main sector of income for a number of nations. The arab world would be a good example. However, at the same time a few emerging problems have lead us to feel that it could also cause tension and spoil of one's land. Despite the possible negatives, I believe this could lead a better understanding of new cultures and people.
To begin, international tourism has a number of benefits that cannot be ignored. For example, a country by creating facilities for tourism development will be able to attract more foreign currencies. The capital of Arab Amirates, Dubay can prove this as millions of tourist from different countries visit this city all year round. Furthermore, this country is considered as tourist friendly as many amenities have been created for people to feel home and safe which is the main factor in this industry. Besides mentioned advantages, this can help people to understand each other, one's culture, the way people live and to get lots of insights from historic sites.
On the contrary, where there are loads of people to observe historic sites or visit a place for travel there are high possibilities that these places will eventually be ruined and spoiled. Because, nowadays not every tourist has full understanding of one's customs and traditions. They often misbehave and cause ethical problems as they are less guided before visiting a particular place. On top of this, Because of international tourists, environment is suffering much more compared to the last five decades. If they are educated about environment and cultures before their visits, there would be less chance to blame international tourism.
In conclusion, although there might be some negatives of worldwide touring, the world is still need for tourists for integrity, profit and culture development.
