The current list of missing class members is enclosed. Please let us know if you have any information that would help us locate these people.

We are planning to create a class booklet similar to the one distributed at the 40th reunion. Whether you are planning to attend or not, we are requesting that class members submit a short article to be included in the booklet. The article can be a short autobiography (career, children, hobbies, accomplishments, etc.), a significant event in your life, or anything else you might want to share with your classmates. You might do a comparison between the ambitions, career choice, etc. listed in the 1960 Spice Yearbook and what actually happened to you. Another suggestion might be a one or two liner update like the ones prepared as Hi-Eye highlights for the 1985 reunion. See samples on back of Missing List enclosure. Please provide your inputs to:

Although many things may happen between now and September 24, 2005, the committee requests that you please respond to this first mailing. Besides the personal information requested above and help locating the missing, we request a response on whether or not you plan to attend. We welcome your spouse but if he/she is not comfortable in a reunion environment, DON'T let that keep YOU from attending. Come to the reunion and share your life adventures with other classmates. If you are in need (cost, transportation or illness) OR are aware of a classmate who is, please advise Alice Nagle. This will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.

Samples of Class Member Article/Autobiography for Booklet
David Wetzel - Graduated from Penn State with BSEE in 1964 and entered US Army out of ROTC.  While in the Army, attended Army Flight School (Fixed and Rotary Wing) and Graduate school (MSEE Penn State), spent two tours in Vietnam, three years in Albuquerque with the Defense Nuclear Agency involved with Underground Nuclear Weapons Effects Testing, three years with the 101st Air Assault Division at Fort Campbell, three years with the Defense Communications Agency (Washington, DC area) working on a secure packet switching system, three years with NATO in Naples, Italy and two years at Fort Monmouth in the materiel management of Army electronics equipment. Retired from the Army in 1986 and was employed as an engineer with Pacer Systems.  While with Pacer I worked on numerous projects (in-house and as a contractor) including the Presidential helicopters, unmanned flying vehicles, flight simulators, and software system testing (for Vanguard). I retired December 31, 2002 and enjoy playing with my numerous electronic toys/gadgets and other home projects.  No wife, no kids.
Suzanne Borchers Shank - Life has been very good to me. On October 1965, I opened Atlas Travel and am happy to say, not only did my husband Doug join me but for the past 11 years our daughter Diana is with us running our "Pleasure" division.

Being in this business has prompted us to travel a great deal with Nepal listing as one of our favorite countries. My most recent hobby is doing Watercolor. I am going into my 4th year and actually showing improvement! My thoughts for the future are, keep active, stay creative and laugh and dance my way into my senior years!

Alice Van Landeghem Nagle - Enjoying retired life since 1996. After being an Administrative Assistant in the Retirement/Pension department of the Former Alco Standard Corporation now known as IKON Office Solutions.  Three years ago moved to an "Over 55" community and enjoy retirement more than ever with no outside work to do, leaving more free time to travel and etc.  For the past 8 years have taken numerous trips and cruises but most of all travel for the winter months to sunny Florida to avoid the cold and snow here in the North.  I have been fortunate to have 2 children and 3 step-children which has made me the proud Grandmother of 4 grandchildren (1 set of twins) and 6 step grandchildren.  Am an avid Dance Roller Skater with a partner of 4 1/2 years.  Never got my Ford T-Bird, but never say never.
Bonnie Zummo Lynch - I am blessed with a peaceful, contented life.  I continue to enjoy working part-time as I am not ready for retirement, too young!  Life is very good.  I have a son and daughter-in-law and two precious grandchildren.  My career paths over the years included executive assistant at a wordwide pharmaceutical company and many years of modeling.  My hobbies include piano/keyboard playing, walking, reading, volunteer work.  I hope the future brings me continued good health, lots of fun and travel.  My motto is:  "Live like it is your last day."
Carole Parker Rex – After high school, I graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Deaf Education and from Temple University with a graduate degree in Elementary Education.  I began my teaching career by working for five years at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Mt. Airy, PA.  In 1968, I married Sandy Rex Gey's brother Jack Rex (Class of 1961).  We had three sons, two of whom are twins.  While I was raising our boys, I did various kinds of volunteer work, including spending twelve years with a local ambulance corps as an Emergency Medical Technician.  I returned to teaching in 1988 at Montgomery School in Chester Springs where I am enjoying life as a first grade teacher.
Charles Weber – Charles Weber. B.S. in Chemistry, 1964, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science followed by Ph.D., Analytical Chemistry, 1969, University of Pennsylvania. Since graduation from Penn I have been teaching at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown and expect to continuing to do so until 2009 (?). I have done a number of small research projects over the years but in the recent years I have been providing analytical services for…….Your’e going to love this……Septage disposal projects.

Married in 1966 to Cheryl Knauer, class of ’62. I am still hanging around with her. One daughter: Candy.

Main interests involve the collecting of, restoration and repair of, and fraud identification of toy trains, primarily Lionel products. I have one of the better collections that I know of and have published a number of small articles on the subject as well as been involved with the review and correction of the best books about Lionel trains. And, yes, if you have any old toy trains that you would like to get rid of please give me a holler (610-272-5588).
Nancy Barr Peters – I was married soon after graduation and was a medical/secretary & office manager for a general practice physician for 25 years.  Studied & obtained a Real Estate License in 1978.  Have been an active & successful Realtor since then, first with Century 21 and now with Re/Max Achievers in Collegeville.  My husband "Don" and I work together as the "Peters Partners".  We have created a few new housing subdivisions & have restored a farm & some other properties.

I am a member of Eastern Star and Kappa Sigma Delta Sorority and other community associations.

Along the way, I became the proud parent of three children & three step-children.  They have given us eight wonderful grandchildren.

Activities include skiing, boating, fishing, gardening, cooking & entertaining family & friends, also doing as much as possible with our children and grandchildren, especially sharing their activities & traveling interesting places with them.

I am grateful for good health & a life that is busy & full of many good times, friends & memories.
Roberta Woelfle – After graduation from NHS I took a position with Merck Sharp & Dohme in West Point, PA. I left Merck in 1963 to start my family, four boys, and relocated to Sterling, VA. While living in Sterling I worked in Washington, DC at the Senate office building as an aide to then Senator Ernest Greening, from Alaska. After 5 years I relocated back to PA and settled in Harleysville, PA. While the boys were growing up I had my own business, which is very much like the Curves Salons of today. I went back to Merck in 1979 and assumed various positions during my 25 year tenure, retiring in January 2004. I now work part-time at the Curves in Lederach and am enjoying my retirement.
Suzanne Bean Brooke – I am still murdering jokes & I have not gotten my white Jaguar. Seriously, I have done a lot in my 45 years out of high school. I attended Becker Jr. College in Worcester, MA for retail merchandising. I worked as an assistant buyer for John Wanamaker in Philadelphia. When the King of Prussia store opened, I transferred there and managed 10 departments. I left to have my daughter & never returned to any large department store. I did go back to work as a pharmacy tech until 10 years ago. I completely changed careers and am working for Schulmerich Bells in Sellersville, PA and I can honestly say I love my job. Lee and I have been married 41 years. We have a great daughter and super son in law and 3 wonderful, bright and beautiful grandchildren.
Jackie Davis March – after graduation from Norristown High School, I became a registered nurse, graduating from Reading Hospital and Medical Center in 1963. I worked in the operating room for six years, two years as a head nurse and continued my education at Millersville University. I received a bachelor’s degree in Education with my major being Public School Nursing. I also received a Masters in Psychology from Millersville University. I am married to Richard March, who graduated from Norristown High School in the class before us, 1959. Rich and I have two children together, Chris, a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy and Elizabeth, a senior at West Chester University, majoring in communications. Richard has three older children, Rick, Shellie and Jeff, whom I consider my own. I am still working as a school nurse and this is my 36th year at Schuylkill Valley High School, which is always a challenge. I don’t know when I will retire as I still enjoy coming to school each day. Rich and I were able to go to Alaska this year as we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Our son was the second mate on the cruise ship, so it was a real fun filled trip and such a beautiful state. I am sold on cruises on small ships and would love to do another one. I am happy to be alive, stay as active as I can and truly enjoy my family. I love life, am anxious for each new day and what surprise it may hold for me.

Larry Reed – I was fortunate to have 34 wonderful teaching years in the Philadelphia school district, even educating the now infamous Will Smith! When aged 43, I was lucky enough to marry my childhood sweetheart--Beth Garrett--who I spent my first night with, in the hospital nursery, when I was born, and she was 7 days old! Although we had a "30 year gap in dating", we picked up where we left off, and we have tried to make up for lost time! Give us a half hour to prepare, and we are ready to take off for parts unknown and to "smell the roses"! When I retired, we opened a country gift shop and had a great deal of fun with it, meeting lots of fascinating people. Closing that after a few years, I now manage the Senior Adult Activities Center and Adult Day Care unit in Norristown. Since I have always liked the elderly, I am having a BALL! And, they even pay me every 2 weeks! Beth and I realize that we must live for each day and find happiness, not only in each other, but also in the world around us! It may be trite, but life really is what YOU make of it. Our motto is "leave room in your hearts for the angels to dance"!
