There was a woman. Her name was Shyan. She was beautiful. 
She was Indonesian. She wasn’t rich. She wasn’t poor. She worked 
for ac company. She knew how to work. But she didn’t have

any plans to grow in her career. She had been working for this 
company for 35 years. When she came, she learnt how to work. 
Then she did the same job the entire time just to get the salary. 
She didn’t enhance her knowledge.
She didn’t have any improvement. She got the same salary.  
But she always wanted a pay rise. She was stupid. She did the same 
job. However, she expected different results. She had a friend.  
His name was Andy. Andy’s salary increased gradually. She asked 
Andy to help. Andy said: “Do you read books in the mornings?” 
Shyan said: “I don’t read books. I’m too involved in my job”.  
Andy said: “Why are you expecting to get a higher salary if 
you aren’t developing yourself?” Shyan decided to go to New 
Zealand. She went to New Zealand. In New Zealand she bought a 
lot of books. She read many books about increasing the revenue.  
Shyan was a sales manager. When she read many books, she 
learnt how to sell more, how to talk to the costomers, how to ask 
questions.
She applied all the ideas written in the books. She got more 
successful. She was promoted. Her salary grew. She was willing 
to develop herself more and more. She went to seminars. Then she 
acquired a lot of new information about selling. She reached the 
top of the sales. She got promoted again. In one year she started 
to get 100 000 pounds. Before working on herself, she used to get 
100 pounds. Reading books and going to seminars changed her 
entire life. She was very happy.
So that’s our POV in the past tense, now we will move into the 
POV in the future tense. So, just listen to the changes! Don’t think 
too much about grammar rules. Just listen to the differences as  
I read the story. Let’s get started!
