MY DAILY ROUTINE
As a rule, I get up at half past six. I put on my dressing-gown, go into bathroom and turn on the bath taps. Good health is better than wealth, so I do my morning exercises. I get breakfast at seven-thirty and listen to the news over the radio.
I like to begin the day well, so my breakfast is always a good one. For breakfast I usually have hard-boiled eggs or an omelette, bread and butter, tea or coffee; I read my newspaper with my last cup of coffee before I leave home.
Then, I say "Good-bye" to my mother, take my school-bag and go to school. I don't live far from my school, so it doesn't take me long to get there. The lessons start at half past eight. Each lesson lasts for 45 minutes. The classes are over at two o'clock.
I come back home, have dinner, wash up and go shopping. I buy foodstuffs for the family. Coming back I begin to clean the house and get the vegetables ready for supper. We have supper at seven. I do my homework for the next day. It usually takes me several hours to prepare well for the lessons.
In the evening, I always try to spend at least an hour at the piano. As a rule my parents and I sit and talk, watch a film on TV, read newspapers and magazines. Sometimes, we go to the cinema or to the theatre. Once or twice a month, I visit exhibitions in my home town.
I go to bed at about eleven o'clock, but my parents like to sit up late and write letters or read.
My daily routine
I would like to start by saying that all my days from Monday to Friday are very much alike. That’s what we call “daily routine” when the same things are repeated from day to day.
In the morning
I usually get up at 7 o’clock in the morning and that’s quite early for me. Then I make my bed, wash my face, brush my teeth, get dressed and put pens, pencils and textbooks into the bag. After that I go to the kitchen to have breakfast which is usually prepared by my mom. She makes a lot of everything but I prefer something light, just a cup of tea and a sandwich.
In the afternoon
Then I go to school, where I spend half of the day. However, I should notice that I really enjoy this time, getting knowledge and meeting my friends. I come back home at two or three o’clock and always have a substantial meal for dinner as I’m extremely hungry after school.
In the evening
After eating, I rest for about an hour listening to music, watching TV or just lying on the bed with my eyes closed. Then I do my homework for the next school day.
My chores
I have my chores in the house. In the evening I usually sweep the floors, clean the dust and sometimes clean the carpet with the vacuum-cleaner. I can’t say I’m excited about this work nevertheless I simply have to do it.
Free time
When I finally have some free time I go for a walk with my friends or just stay at home and play my favourite computer game.
At night
My day habitually ends at ten or eleven o’clock. This is the time when I go to bed in order to get up and start everything again the next morning.
MY DAILY ROUTINE
I wake up very early in the morning, usually around six .I get up at once and go to the bathroom.
I shower, brush my teeth, dry my hair with the dryer and comb my hair. Then I go back to my room and get dressed.
” I have breakfast with my sister at a quarter to 7 .”
At 7 I leave home and catch either the train or the bus to go to school .The entry bell rings at five to 8! Therefore I have to be in front of the school at that time. Not being late is very important in my daily routine!
“Lessons begin at 8 and end at 1:30 in the afternoon.”
Leaving the school I catch either the train or the bus that takes me back home. As soon as I get home, I have lunch and immediately afterwards I do my homework.
At five o’clock I leave home and go to the downtown, where I meet my friends . We stop at a bar, have coffee, talk for a while and then take a stroll through the downtown.
“At 7 I go back home and at 8 I have dinner with my family”.
Then we stay in the living room talking about the events of the day or watching television for a while. At 10, I say good night to my parents and my sister and I go to my room. I undress, put on my pyjamas and go to bed. I usually watch television for a while, and when I go to sleep I turn off the television, turn off the light and fall asleep.
