Alain Burrese is an Author, Speaker, and
Personal Security, Safety and Self-defense Instructor. He has
combined his years of martial art and self-defense training, his
military, bouncing and security work, and his formal education which
includes a business degree and a law degree into books, DVDs, and
programs to help people stay safe and defend themselves if needed.
Additionally, he conducts programs and writes about effective
communication for conflict resolution and living with the Warrior’s
Edge.

Alain’s military background includes two years as a paratrooper with
an Infantry Battalion in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg,
N.C., and working as a sniper instructor at the 2nd Infantry Division
Scout Sniper School at Camp Casey, South Korea. His martial art
background includes training in judo, 
taekwondo
, karate, 
Hapkido
,
and 
qigong
. Alain lived in South Korea to train in his primary art of
Hapkido
, a Korean martial art that focuses on self-defense, and he’s
earned a 5th degree black belt in this martial art.
Alain currently lives in Montana with his wife Yi-saeng and daughter
Cosette. He spends his time writing, speaking, teaching, working
security, and contributing to
