Federal IT-Management Strategy (2007 - 2011)
On 5 December 2007, the German Cabinet agreed on a Federal IT-Management strategyaiming to improve IT management within the federal government. The main goal is to optimise Public Administration services and promote IT innovation. The strategy focuses on IT consolidation and harmonisation of the entire German federal government and strives to improve the governance of its IT.
In June 2011, the IT-council's working programme 2011/2012 was declared. Its main topics cover amongothersIT security, IT consolidationand Enterprise Architecture Management.
