Read the following texts and complete the sentences

   VOCABULARY
   

- Racquet. A special shaped piece of wood or metal that you use for hitting the ball in games such as tennis, that has a circle filled with tight strings at one end

- Shuttlecock. A small light object that you hit over the net in the game of BADMINTON

- Court. An area made for playing games such as tennis

- Rectangular. Having the shape of a rectangle

- Half. Exactly or about 50% of a distance

- Lightweight. Someone who has no importance or influence, or who does not have the ability to think deeply – used to show disapproval

- Grip. The handle of the racket

-String. A strong thread made of several threads twisted together, used for tying and fastening things

- High-drag projectile. Projectile motion is a type of motion where an object (called a projectile) is thrown and in this situation the object (being the shuttlecock) makes contact with the racket. It moves along a curved path under the force of gravity

- Conical. Resembling a cone especially in shape.

-Flick. To make something move away by hitting or pushing it suddenly or quickly

-Rally. A continuous series of hits of the ball between players in a game such as tennis

-Smash. To hit a high ball with a strong downward action, in tennis or similar games
