  New Club Proposal: Human Services Club

      The club has been in existence for over a year and a half

      Funds will go towards the end of the year Internship Banquet
      
      • 
        This celebrates the accomplishments of students who have completed their internships and connects those who do not have internships will potential internships and employers
        
    • 
      They are requesting $200- $300

Answer: Shanty Town donations (Homeless Awareness Event where students sleep on the green outside to bring awareness to homelessness)

  Student Athletic Fee Proposal

  The current fee is $85. $5 of that total go toward the repayment of a loan that was taken out in order for 3 athletic teams to go to national tournaments

  Athletics brings 100-110 students to Gordon State College per year

  Student Parking Fee

  Holmes street house will be torn down in order to create an additional access-way to the parking lot

  They are not requesting an increase. The fee will remain at $10.00 per student per semester

  Student Activity and Recreation Fee

  Capitol Visit

    The State Capitol Visit was a success!

    State Representative Robert Dickey asked our opinion about a bill being proposed

    Senators enjoyed speaking to representatives that represent our school so well

    Secretary was asked to get summary to Ms. Sharon ASAP

    There have still been no submissions for the contest. All senators are required to submit a video by Friday, February 17, 2017, no exceptions.
