Set the example. Be a leader and not driver.	Become familiar with and carry out the policies of management.
Treat employees with complete respect. Be friendly, but firm when necessary.	Conform to security regulations.
Explain and carry out the policies, procedures, and regulations of the agency.	Seek ways to economize. Avoid waste and Protect Government property.
Assure proper training for his or her Job	Identify training needs, assure adequate training, and maintain a competent work group.
Provide opportunities for development and assist in every way possible.	Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in efficient working condition.
Praise accomplishment and be sincere. Criticism is to be given privately.	Encourage and maintain high performance standards.
Create an awareness of and provide training in safety practices.	Represent employees in matters of appropriate concern.
Be fair and impartial.
Use ability and skill as criterion or placement.
