Abstract
:
This article analyzes the possibilities of textile enterprises to 
adopt international standards in increasing their export potential.
The practice 
of adopting and implementing international standards in the textile industry is 
presented.

Introduction
More than 40,000 normative documents are registered in the State Fund 
of Regulatory Documents of the Agency for Technical Regulation: State 
Standards of Uzbekistan, International Standards (ISO, IEC, etc.), Interstate 
Standards (GOST), Foreign national standards of countries, etc. 
In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of 
Uzbekistan dated December 12, 2018 No PQ-4059 "On measures for further 
development of technical regulation, standardization, certification and 
metrology systems" Research Institute of Standardization, Metrology and 
Certification and the State Institution "Research Institute of Standardization, 
Certification and Technical Regulation" (Institute of Standards) was 
established on the basis of the state enterprise "Information Center". 
In accordance with this decision, the State Institution "Research Institute 
of Standardization, Certification and Technical Regulation" and on the 
applications of other organizations, as well as the basic organization for 
retraining and advanced training in the field of technical regulation, 
standardization, certification and metrology.

Adoption of international standards for textile products is carried out in 
accordance with the Regulation "On the procedure for adoption and application 
of international, interstate, regional standards and standards of foreign 
countries in the Republic." The following may be grounds for adopting 
standards: 
- Plans, programs and measures for the adoption of the Standards, 
developed to fulfill the tasks of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan; 
- Annual Republican Standardization Program approved by the Uzbek 
Agency for Technical Regulation; 
- work plans of technical committees on standardization; 
- Applications (appeals) of stakeholders to the Uzbek Agency for 
Technical Regulation.
