Communicate 

At each step in the process you must communicate with your team 

members.  You need to also communicate with others outside of your 

team to get feedback on your design.  You need to communicate 

verbally as well as by describing your design thorough writing and 

drawings.  Communication is at the core of the engineering design 

process.
