Program Description 
Basic questions inquired about the characteristics of each program. 38.9% of the programs were organized 
within another department; where as, 23.3% of the programs fell under their own department. Being classified as its 
own school described a smaller portion of the programs (17.8%). Surprisingly, over one-third (38.2%) of the 
programs had no special program accreditation. Many programs, however, held the Accrediting Commission for 
Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA) accreditation at 27%. Another notable is that 13.5% held the 
American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. The institutional accreditations were
