STEP 1: Ask the pupils to look at the picture and say what 
they see there in the mother tongue. Ask them to guess the words. 
say “doctor” and ask them to point to the picture. Repeat the 
same with the words “pilot” and “cook”. say that “cooking” is 
the “ing” form of the verb “to cook” (see Unit 5, Lesson 1, Activ-
ity 2a for more information about it). help the pupils to guess or 
translate the other words. 
STEP 2: Ask the pupils to listen and repeat the words after 
you in chorus, in rows, in pairs and individually.
