Annotation:
This article provides a brief overview of how educators work with 
students, that is, how to use new methods in the process of teaching a foreign language, 
how to improve the ability to speak and act in a foreign language.

In recent years, more attention has been paid to the teaching process in language 
teaching rather than language teaching. The focus is only on language competence 
aimed at developing students, but also their communicative skills. In order to develop 
communication skills, the teacher needs to create a scenario to teach the target language 
in a bright, active and fun way. Many English teachers are learning and trying new and 
innovative methods in the classroom. They organized dialogue, open scripts, and role-
playing games. 
This thesis provides information on the use of role-playing games in teaching a 
foreign language to students. Particular attention is paid to the issue of how this method 
can be used in universities to encourage students to make maximum use of a foreign 
language in the classroom. Educators will need to note that the types of role-playing 
games can vary depending on the level of difficulty and language skills of the students, 
and that it is important to choose the right role-playing game according to the group’s 
level of knowledge. The thesis states that role-playing games are very useful and can 
help students consolidate their knowledge and learn a foreign language for professional 
purposes. The practical significance of the thesis is that role-playing games are 
teaching methods aimed at students that develop their communicative competence. 
According to educators, role-playing games help to apply theoretical knowledge in 
practice and thus close the gap between theory and practice. Role-playing is also very

effective for learning the real world and improving professional skills. Educators 
emphasize that the development of role-playing games requires good organizational 
preparation. The pedagogical play method focuses on contributing to the development 
and improvement of communication skills and improving collaboration and teamwork 
skills. In this thesis, role-playing activities can put students in real situations, such as 
tracking phone calls, booking a hotel, ordering food in restaurants, talking to a 
salesperson in a store, and negotiating. 'teaches nicknames. Interviewing, exchanging 
ideas, and arguing in a foreign language for employment. 
The use of different teaching methods helps to strengthen linguistics. Creating 
and storing events in memory, more stable visual and auditory images, increases 
students ’interest and activity. Play, that is, role-playing, provides ample opportunities 
to improve the learning process. Role-playing is a methodical method that belongs to 
the group of active methods of teaching practical knowledge of a foreign language. The 
teaching methodology has been going towards the role play for a long time. Exercises 
such as “read by role” and “stage” dialogue have a strong place in the arsenal of 
methodological techniques, as the meaning of the text is more fully understood in the 
process of dramatization and, at the same time, the linguistic material is more deeply 
understood. 
Role-playing has a number of useful features in language teaching, one of which 
is to present and discuss the benefits of using role-playing games.
