ABSTRACT 
Infectious diseases caused by several dozen fungi, bacteria, viruses, phytoplasmas 
and nematodes are present in seed and pome fruit trees, which lead to the death of 
most of the crop. Diseases caused by fungi are in the first place interms of the 
damage and spread of seed fruit to orchards. 30-50% of the crop can die under the 
influence of powdery mildew.
Key words: Mycelium, Pathogen, Erysiphales, Podosphaera leucotricha, 
Fungicide. 
 
Уруғли ва данакли мевали дарахтларда бир неча ўнлаб замбуруғ,бактерия, 
вирус, фитоплазма ва нематодалар кўзғатадиган юқумли касалликлар мавжуд 
бўлиб улар ҳосилни кўп қисмини нобуд бўлишига олиб келади. Уруғли мева 
боғларга келтирадиган зарари ва тарқалиши бўйича замбуруғларқўзғатадиган 
касалликлар биринчи ўринда туради. Ун-шудринг касаллиги таъсирида 30-50 % 
хосил нобуд бўлиши мумкин.

One of the main conditions for the further development of horticulture and 
viticulture, which are important sectors of agriculture of our republic, and for 
increasing the quantity and quality of the fruit and grape harvest, is to protect fruit 
trees from harmful organisms, including diseases. Infectious diseases caused by 
several dozen fungi, bacteria, viruses, phytoplasmas and nematodes are present in 
seed and pome fruit trees, which cause most of the crop to die. Diseases caused by 
fungi are in the first place in terms of the damage and spread of seed fruit to orchards.

Among the diseases caused by fungi, powdery mildew is the most damaging to 
apples, and 30-50% of the crop can die under its influence . Powdery mildew disease 
of apples and pears is widespread in all countries of the world, including Central 
Asian countries, and in Uzbekistan, apples are found in all regions. Disease 
symptoms. The causative agent is Podosphaera leucotricha , belonging to the order 
Erysiphales . 
Species of the order Erysiphales are biotrophic (obligate parasitic) fungi that cause 
powdery mildew on higher plants belonging to various families. The reason for 
giving this name to the disease is that the affected parts of the plants (usually leaves) 
are covered with a white, flour-like powder .
 
The bag fungus Podosphaera leucotricha infects not only apples but also pears (but to 
a lesser extent and in smaller sizes). The pathogen forms a mycelium located on the 
surface, it grows on the plant with the help of appressoria and inserts its haustoria 
into the tissue. Conidial spores develop in the mycelium in spring and autumn, and 
the bag period - bag spore and bag cleistothecium are formed [3]. Powdery mildew 
damages leaves, petals and fruits, leaf and fruit bunches, branches and buds of trees. 
First, a white or light-gray, flour-like powder appears on the underside of the leaves. 
Later, chlorotic (bleeding) spots develop on the upper side of the leaf, opposite the 
spots where the powder appeared. Over time, the dust spreads to both sides of the leaf 
and can completely cover the leaves. The leaves become twisted, boat-shaped, 
wrinkled, and small (the size can be 1/3 of healthy leaves). They fall to the ground: in 
the middle of August, half of the leaves on the tree may fall.
