Pile on the agony: 1) to make a bad situation much worse for someone: This 

latest announcement just piles agony for investors. 2) to enjoy making a situation 

much worse than it is: They see a weakness in a child and they start piling on the 

agony.

Set  up  camp:  1)  if  a  group  of  people  set  up  camp  somewhere,  they  put  up 

their tents there and stay there for a while: They found a dry spot and set up camp 

for the night. 2) to put your possessions or equipment in a particular place so you 

can live, work, or spend a lot of time there: She set up camp in the kitchen while 

they painted the bedroom.

Try it on: 1) to behave badly in order to see how annoying or unreasonable
