Integrity
The property of integrity defines that data is present without any modification from unauthorized
users. Integrity of data means that data has not been lost or changed and maintains the data in its
original form (Bottino & Hughes, 2006).
Some constraints and mechanisms are applied together to ensure the integrity of data. When an
unauthorized user attempts to change the data, at that time access control mechanism checks the
rights for that user whether he has sufficient rights to access and change the data, and then
semantic integrity subsystem checks the correctness of data (Sandhu & Bertino, 2005).
