FORMING THE IMAGE OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IS A 
REQUIREMENT OF TIME

Teacher`s activity is the type of professional activity, directed on the upbringing and development of the 
teacher`s personality, on identifying their free and creative opportunities. 
The main task of the educational system includes upbringing the growing youth in the spirit of patriotism, 
making them physically strong, fully and spiritually developed. For the purpose of improving the efficiency of 
education and achievement of full mastering of knowledge, providing the education to be in focus of person and self-
study of youth, individual attitude to talented, gifted pupils, also working with pupils who is hard to master, determining 
the best qualities of each pupil, its developing and organizing every lesson by clarifying their interests, needs and 
abilities plays one of the main roles. In turn, this is due to the awareness of teachers` responsibility, who is engaged in 
the upbringing of children.
Nowadays our government carries out many activities in enhancing the role of teachers in society.
Including this issue has a special place in the Law `About education` adopted in 1997year and `National
training program`. Besides that there are contests held by the Ministry of Public Education such as `The best teacher of 
year`, `The best school director`, `The best English teacher` and the badge `Excellence in public education`, which 
serve as an example. But we must be far from thought that established contests and badges evaluate the teachers` career. 
It should be noted that underneath all this lies productive work and experience. Because, nowadays, the increase in the 
number of factors influencing the upbringing of pupils has a negative impact and they also has a negative influence to 
the relationship between teacher and pupils, teacher and parents,
That`s why in development of the society along with the implementation of activities by government in career 
of teachers, their responsibility to developing the society, activity in profession must be increased too.
Nowadays, requirements to teachers are becoming more difficult and improving. The main of requirements 
are: 
- teacher must have own worldview and be the strong person who is able to protect it, be the specialist of 
profession 
- teacher`s way of thinking should be formed scientifically 
- teacher must work with pupils in pedagogical activity 
- teachers always must work on themselves, can present their activity; 
We can see the views on task to prepare professional specialists of teacher scientists as R.Mavlanova, 
J.G.Yo`ldashev, M.Ochilov, N.To`xtaxo`jayeva, B.Ziyamuxamedov and etc., which are based on theoretical and 
practical experiences.
But, nowadays, forming the teachers image haven`t been studied at all. The goal of forming the teachers image 
consists of making teachers to have wide outlook, to have deep knowledge, to use knowledge in upbringing of growing

youth, to find innovations, be conscience and have a heart, to be master of their job. Generally, when we say teacher`s 
image we recognize teacher`s appearance in school society and social sphere. `Image` is an English word and means 
`view`, `expression`. `Image` is included in psychological-pedagogical terms. According to research, it turned out that 
the image of the teacher is on the second place among dozens of professional properties. Therefore, one should not be 
indifferent to the image of the teacher, we should not understand this as a mask or hiding the truth. Because we must 
not forget that teachers can influence the students by their appearance. Besides that, most part of the information the 
person takes visually. That`s why, the appearance of the teacher is important in upbringing. The appearance includes: 
motions, nurturance, education, speech, smile and etc.
In the recommended literature, the following general signs of the image are given: 
- appearance; 
- means of using verbal and nonverbal relations; 
Besides that, image also includes mimicry, vote, timbre, way of dressing, attitude, gestures and personal 
professional features. 
Under the external image we mean the idea of your kind in the human mind around you. After communicating 
with you and watching your behavior person can shape the image by educational value and culture of speech.
In appearance, there should be verbal and nonverbal relationships that affect each other.
They are: 
- Speaking impressively; 
- Persuade, assure; 
- Knowing of the psychological influence of style and color of clothing; 
- Patience; 
- Observation etc. 
Correspondence of appearance to requirements influences the organization of the lesson and on mutual 
understanding between the teacher and pupils, which facilitates the pedagogical process. According to the teacher – 
scientist V.A. Shepel in the achievements of the teacher, his appearance plays an important role. It is not difficult to 
realize that the solution to this problem is in the hands of the teacher. A teacher who cares about his image will be 
confident in himself and will be able to lead an active activity in his field. 
Preparing of future teachers and the formation of their image, which includes forming the appearance, culture, 
self-management, teacher`s mimicry and pantomime actions, voice dictations, oratory and intonation is dealt with in 
educational institutions. 
Thus, The `Image` leads to an increase in the career of the teacher, the development of mental abilities and 
performs the first level of knowledge. External beauty merging with inner beauty becomes a real beauty. If one of the 
beauties does not develop sufficiently, then this can lead to a decrease in the productivity of education. Therefore, if 
future teacher on the path to learning the secrets of their profession will use the above professional qualities, this will 
lead to the discovery of new opportunities to specialists, who will make a great contribution in the development and 
renewal of today`s society.
