1.1.1 What is Supply Chain Management? 
Supply Chain Management (SCM) is the management of the flow of goods and services and includes 
all processes
 
that transform raw materials into final products.
It is, therefore, the broad range of activities required to plan, control and execute a product's flow 
from materials to production to distribution in the most economical way possible.
