You are going to hear a dialogue between two students talking about how parliament 
makes new laws. As you listen, complete the notes below by writing no more than three 
words in the spaces provided. 
New laws can start in either the House of Lords or the House of Commons. They are usually 
proposed by 1. __________. A law which is being proposed is called 2. __________ until it is 
passed. Then, it becomes 3.__________ of Parliament.
The bill goes through its 4.__________ which means that the title of the bill is set to be
