LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

On international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Purpose of this Law

The purpose of this Law is to regulate relations in the field of conclusion, execution, suspension and termination of international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Article 2. Legislation on international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The legislation on international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan consists of this Law and other legislative acts.

International treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan are concluded, executed, terminated and their action is suspended in accordance with generally recognized principles and norms of international law, the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as this Law and the provisions of international treaties themselves.

If an international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes rules other than those stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, then the rules of the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall be applied.

Article 3. International treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the legal system of the Republic of Uzbekistan

International treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan along with generally recognized principles and norms of international law are an integral part of the legal system of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
