LESSON PLAN
English for the 2nd grade students

Lesson Outline
1. Warm up: Short answer- questions about new topic to turn them into new theme.
2. Activity1: Getting acquainted with collacations about job and work and showing the video related to topic
3. Activity2: Filling the gaps in order to distinguish the usage of job, work and career
4. Activity3: Speaking. Students are given the question cards which ask the job they hope to have
5. Activity4: Speaking. Students are required to make a short job interview
6.Activity5: Listening. They listen the song about teacher and write omitted words.
7. Homework: Recite new vocabulary and make presentation about top well-paid jobs.

The aіm:
To teach students new useful collacations related to job, work, career
To teach students how to able to use news words in their speech
To make students feel the atmosphere of real job interview
To increase listening skills of students in an interesting way.

Warm-up. (5 min.)
Objectives: Motivational speech by teacher in order to get students attention
Procedure: Teacher starts the lesson with giving different questions to students about jobs.
For instance:
1. Do you want to work in the future? Which job are going to get? Why?
2. Do you know what features you need to get this job? Why?
3.What people pay attention to choose occupations on?
4. Where do dream to work?
Students share their answers individually.
Objective: To take students into new topic and make them interested in today's topic
Activity 1. (Time 12 min.)
Explaining. Teacher explains the difference among words " job" " work" " career" and shows tutorial video related to topic. After students watch the video, teacher asks some of new collacations in the video from the whole class.
Activity 2- 3 (Time 10 min.)
Speaking and doing handouts.
Objective: To achieve the ability of being able to use new collacations in their speech.
Being able to distinguish the difference of words job, work, career by practicing
Procedure:
Teacher attach question cards on the board and make them count from one to five. Then teacher call all students who say 5. These students need to answer questions on the cards by using new topic based vocabularies explained. They gather the points according to usage of new vocabulary.Student who can utilize the more vocabulary and has a meaningful speech will be winner of this activity. Until students on the board answer questions, the rest of students do the filling the gap tasks related to topic.
Activity 4. (Time 10.)
Making a short dialogue
Objective: To make students feel real job interview atmosphere and to increase speaking skill of students.
Procedure: Teacher ask 8 students to come to the board. They are divided into pairs. Pairs choose the cards in which written different different employers and candidates. Students need to make a short dialogue based on the situation on the cards. Employer need to inform candidates about facilities, requirements and salary of job, while candidates need to persuade employer that they are worth for the job
Activity 5 (Time 4)
Listening
Objective: Increase listening skill of students.
Procedure: Students listen a song about teachers and need to fill the gaps on the paper which teacher distributed.
Assessment (2 minutes)
Teacher assess students according to their active participation in the class
Home task (2 minutes) Recite the song.
Write a letter.
You have got a job recently. You have to describe your new job to your friends using new topic based vocabulary.
Ending (1minutes)
Teacher says ’Thank you for your active participation. Lesson is over. Good bye.’
