Just I am blissfully happy owing to the fact that I am taking the interesting and beneficial courses which are specialized for my professional development by British Council. I am expecting truly helpful skills from this course and after finishing those I will enrich my professional development.
In the first Module I can determine a learning outcome, using appropriate verbs for that outcome, thinking skills, align assessment, writing clear, achievable outcome for my classroom.
Before attending this course I never pay attention to such kind of outcome. What is the outcomes? Outcomes are teaching and giving by teachers. But it is not objective. After teaching and giving information students can learn or not that is illustrated outcomes. Mostly it looks like result. Before attending this course which is named Pathway To Excellence I did not differentiate it. However, nowadays I mostly pay attention my student’s outcomes of course, after finishing any activity.
And in addition to this teachers are not centered, whereas students stand in the learning center. We encounter reading , writing, speaking, listening outcomes in our classroom. A good example for this that learners will be able to write a paragraph describing a family members, watch short video and write some comprehension questions for others, learners will be able to defend their position in a debate, learners can read authentic articles and they can speak and find some answer according to that articles.
Effective learning outcomes is admittedly writing skills. Due to the fact they should think what they should write and they show their own use of English in writing.
I learnt how to align assessment with the outcomes and how to measure my learners’ achievement. Therefore, I adjust my learners’ achievement as well as their capabilities by the end of the lesson or by the end of course.
