LOCATION: The Lake at Splash Montana located at 3001 Bancroft, is an 8-lane, 50-meter regulation outdoor long course pool equipped with non-turbulent lane lines. The pool is a state of the art 50 meter pool by Astral Pools. The pool is 6 feet deep at the west end and 4 feet deep east end. We have access to the 25 yard 3 ½ feet deep, 3 lanes area for warm-up and cool down before the park opens at 11:00am, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There also is a partial lane next to lane 8 for warm-up and cool down during the swim meet. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). Montana Masters Swimming had it certified and we are in the process of completing the certification.
Directions: From I-90, take Exit 104, Orange Street. Turn south onto Orange Street, drive approximately 1.4 miles, turn left on Beckwith (at the light), drive .2 miles and turn right on Brooks (at the light), drive .4 miles then turn left on Bancroft. The pool will be on the right hand side. Bancroft street will be the 1st right hand turn after the light at Mount and Brooks. When you are on Bancroft you will go through a four way stop and pass Sentinel High School on your right hand side. OVERNIGHT PARKING OR CAMPING IS NOT PERMITTED IN THIS PARK!
If teams want to arrive early we can arrange practice time in the 50 meter pool for your use at a nominal cost. Contact Curt Jacobson at 406-329-7611 or curt@macswim.org.

Swimmers are responsible for being familiar with this meet’s scratch rules and check-‐in procedures. At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-ups, competition, and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee may assist the swimmer in making arrangements for such supervision, but it is the swimmer’s responsibility to make such arrangements prior to the start of the meet. Unaccompanied swimmers shall report to the Meet Director or Meet Referee for assignment.
SAFETY Montana Swimming safety guidelines and warm-up procedures will be in effect and
REGULATIONS: strictly enforced. No stakes can be put in the ground within the fenced area in the pool. This meet will follow Montana Swimming’s and the City of Missoula’s lightning policies. There is no overnight camping in the park. Please bring a sun hat and sunscreen for your own protection.
WARM-UP Athlete entries into all lanes must be 3 point/feet first entry and circle swimming for a minimum of 20 minutes. For the last 20 minutes of the warm-up session, one-way sprints/starts will be open in 2 designated lanes. Additional one-way sprint lanes may be opened at the discretion of the meet referee. A pace lane can be opened at the discretion of the meet referee after the initial 20 minute circle swim period.
RACING STARTS: Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. All swimmers not accompanied by a coach must check in with the Meet Referee.
LIGHTNING POLICY: City of Missoula and Montana Swimming follows guidelines set forth by the facility standard or the American Red Cross whichever is more stringent will be the governing rule.
ELGIBILITY: This meet is open to all swimmers currently registered with USA Swimming as year round members with at least one “A” USAS Motivational Times time standard from Montana, Inland Empire, Snake River and /or Alaska swimming. Entry times not in the SWIMS database must be proven to the Administrative Referee or designated representative prior to the scratch deadline for the event (and in accordance with qualifying period noted above). Failure to provide such proof of time prior to that deadline will result in the swimmer being removed from the event. There is no need to prove relay entry times.
