Issues in development of listening skills

Warm-up
Time 10 -15 min.
Ask student to stand up and walk around the class and talk to other students about their attitude to card games. Ask them to change partners often and share their findings.
Write the following games on the board:

Write the following question underneath:
How good are these games for families, learning and fun?
Elicit from the students what they have known about each other’s attitude to card games. Invite three-four students to report.
Arrange students in groups of four and ask students to look at the list of games on the board and answer the question. Invite group reporters to share the findings.

Distribute handout 1 for each group (arranged in the previous stage) and ask students to complete the tasks on it.
