unintended consequences. No one is particularly good at making predictions about human behavior. It is during implementation of activities that values are seen, felt, and consequences realized. And with the data in front of us, we can make adjustments.

3B.  DOES THE PLAN FIT THE RESOURCES?

The resource of greatest importance is human behavior. Ask yourself, "Is my behavior and the behavior of others adaptable enough to follow these values statements?" Relative to others, ask, "Will I be able to manage myself to ensure that rights and responsibilities exist both for myself and those towards whom I behave?" Most of use want to remain positive towards life.

3C.  DOES EVERYONE WANT TO?

If we perform the values design activity in a group, this is can be easily determined. We will see how others react to the total set of values, especially in the home or classroom.

3D.  WHICH PLAN HAS THE BEST FIT?

In the end, we only design our values plan with some points more or less accepted by others. Yet, if all planning participants realize that the plan will undergo revision over time, it may well be accepted. The designers of the Constitution of the United States had to make many compromises to garner acceptance. But they were smart enough to leave the document open ended, adaptable.
