3. Terms and Conditions 
AGENTS
 
Terms  and  Conditions  of 
Agency  Agreements
  are  governed  by  EU  law 
(Commercial  Agents  Regulations  1993.  These  Regulations  cover  primarily  the 
Rights  and  Duties  of  Principal  and  Agent  and  are  automatically  incorporated 
into any Agency contract. 
For example: 
Duties of Agent:

To perform duties in person (and not delegate)  
Carry out work with ordinary skill and diligence  
Not accept a bribe or secret profits  
Must be no conflict of interest between Agent and Principal  
To obtain the 
best price
 from customers that is 
reasonably obtainable.
  
Duties of Principal: 
Payment of Commission  
Indemnify the Agent for any expenses incurred.  
Rights of Agent: 
Termination:
 
There are mandatory 
Notice Periods
: 
1 month during 1st year  
2 months during 2nd year  
3 months during 3rd and subsequent years 
Compensation: 
On termination the Principal must pay: 
Compensation  (calculated  on  the  loss  suffered  as  a  result  of  the  loss  of  the 
Agency.
