Abul-Qasim Mahmud al-Zamakhshari. An outstanding scientist was Abul-Qasim Mahmud al-Zamakhshari. He was born in 1075 in a small village Samakchar. Zamakhshari at first studied at home, then in a madrassah. The desire for knowledge forced him to move from city to city. He visited Bukhara, Merv, Nishapur, Isfahan, Baghdad, Herat and Mecca, where he studied Arabic language and literature, theology, calligraphy, Arabic proverbs, traditions and customs. He collected information about the region's geography. He left more than 50 works on various branches of science. His work "Al-Mufassal", in which he described the features of the phonetics and morphology of the Arabic language, and in the Muslim world — the work "Al-Kashshaf" — the interpretation of individual Suras of the Koran, is particularly appreciated. He was called "the Teacher of Arabs and non-Arabs", "The Pride of Khorezm". Students of the world-famous Egyptian University Al-Azhar are still studying the Qur'an based on Al-Kashshaf.

Burhanuddin Marghinani, an outstanding theologian and lawyer, was born in 1123 in the Ferghana city of Rishtan. The most valuable legacy is his famous book "Hidoya" in four volumes. It was a monumental work on the basics of Muslim law, served as a reference book of Islamic lawyers and was widely used in judicial practice. The book has been translated into several languages. In 2000, the 910th anniversary of Marginani was widely celebrated.

At that time, along with traditional ancient Turkic folklore, written Turkic literature and a number of major works appeared in Transoxiana and Eastern Turkestan. Among them, the leading place is occupied by a unique poem of the XI century."
