Respect animals’ lives. With so many animal species going extinct every day, it's time to rethink the way we see animals. People should help animals because they can't help themselves.
Dogs, cats, and other animals in animal shelters are usually tame, and sometimes even trained. If people adopt an animal, you are giving a good home to a living animals , plus making room at overcrowded shelters. People in my country love animals. You could find a dog or a cow being owned by a family. And it is not for any monetary reasons but because they like being around them and caring for them. Animals do bring a certain extent of happiness and togetherness in a family. ... Dogs are preferred over other animals because firstly they are very friendly and loyal to their owner. Animals without owners should have the right to live on the streets in cities. Others say that they could be dangerous and should be collected and found new homes, or even put down. Unfortunately, many cats and dogs suffer abandonment, cruelty and neglect nowadays. I think it is quite normal and there is no need to change the situation. ... Today some people keep rare and unusual animals in their houses. But do alligators, tigers, crocodiles, snakes or raccoons feel comfortable living with people? And is it safe to keep such animals as pets. Personally, I think that owners of exotic animals are going to have many problems with them.

I also go in for track-and-field (athletics) events. Different sports and games are popular with my classmates. All my friends go in for different kinds of sport, such as water polo, gymnastics, horse-racing, wrestling, fencing, weightlifting, boxing, ice-hockey, speed-skating, figure-skating, football, basket-ball, volley-ball, etc.
We have fine teams at our school and different kinds of competitions take place there. The boys of my school are crazy about football, they play football and the girls are football fans. The girls never miss a single match played by school teams.
And now a few words about our physical training lessons. In winter our physical training lessons are held out-of-doors. When it is cold outside P.T. lessons are held indoors, in our school gymnasium. We play different team-games such as basket-ball or volley-ball. Besides we have some training in gymnastics.
In autumn and in spring, when the weather is warm we have P.T. lessons at our school stadium. My school has a sports day once a year in late spring. On this day we have no lessons.
All the competitors change into their sports clothes, the spectators find their seats round the track ready to cheer. All the events take place at the same time. This day is a great success every year. Even if the weather is not warm, we enjoy ourselves just the same.

I like sport. It plays a great role in my activities. Most of all I like to play basketball. Sometimes we win them but sometimes we lose. Basketball is a team game. It is played in any season because it is an indoors game. It is played in a gym. But sometimes you can see street ball - basketball in the open air. There are two baskets in this exciting game and only one orange ball. Players must throw the ball to the basket and get to it to score a goal. There are two teams with only five players. Many people are keen on sport because it makes us healthy and help us to be fit. When you play any sport game you are active and it helps you to burn many calories. Basketball is an active game. It makes people be strong, healthy and energetic. It is a game for everybody even for disabled people. To my mind any sport is risky and dangerous. Basketball is risky too because every minute you can break your arm or leg or get another problem with your health. I like playing basketball most of all. And I am a basketball fan too. I enjoy watching matches on TV and at the gym.
