Four types of organizational culture according to Cameron and Quinn
Four types of organizational culture (corporate culture) is developed by two American researchers Kim Cameron (English) Russian. and Robert Quinn, a method of assessing organizational culture based on a competing value system, which is based on four types of culture. According to research by C. S. Cameron and R. E. Quinn in their book Diagnostics and Change in Organizational Culture, competing values ​​give rise to polarities such as flexibility and stability, as well as inward and outward orientation - these two polarities have been recognized as the most important to determining the success of an organization. Polarities build a quadrant with four types of culture.
Clan culture
It is so called because it resembles a family-type organization and is considered the most favorable culture. It has a very friendly work environment where people have a lot in common. This culture is characterized by cohesiveness, complicity, a sense of the organization as "we" Leaders, or heads of organizations, are seen as mentors and perhaps even as father figures. The organization is held together by loyalty and tradition. There is a high level of involvement. Within the organization, the focus is on the long-term benefits of human resource development, and great importance is placed on personal relationships and morale. Success is defined in the context of being open to the needs of the client and caring for people. The Organization attaches great importance to teamwork, participation and consensus. The main basic assumptions in the clan culture are that the external environment is best dealt with by organizing team work and taking care to improve the skills of employees; that consumers are best seen as partners; that the organization operates in a business that creates a humane external environment for the worker; and that the main task of management is to empower employees and facilitate the conditions for their participation in business, dedication to the cause and dedication to the organization.
