How should family and work responsibilities be shared in a marriage？

Well, in modern society, men and women are equal and they should be treated fairly. As a result, they should share every responsibility. Both of them are entitled and to work hard on their career. However, in my country, we always expect take some time off to raise her child, and it is okay for a woman to depend on her husband when she does. But if both men and women are working, then men should definitely lend a hand with the housework. Actually, it doesn't often work this way, but it really depends on what the man does for a living. If he's at home every evening around 6, he can help with the cooking, or with the child's homework. If he's a businessman who often works overtime or travels a lot, I guess his wife will have to deal with the family issues more than him.
