Is it important to learn about the culture and customs o f other countries? 

Why / why not?

I think th at it is really good to learn about o th er cultures and their cus­

toms.  If you  travel  to  these  countries,  it  is  useful  to  und erstan d   how 

people live their lives so th at you can respect their beliefs and customs. 

I  think people can  also be scared o r intim idated by o th er people th at 

they feel  are  ‘different’;  if they  learn  about  these  o th er cultures  then 

they will u nderstand them ,  and no longer be wary o r afraid.
