The reward system
Strategic reward leads to the design of a reward
system. As illustrated in Figure 26.1, this consists of
the interrelated processes and practices that combine
to ensure that reward management is carried out
effectively to the benefit of the organization and the
people who work there. The system is driven by the
business strategy, which in turn drives the reward
strategy. As described below, its major components
are financial and non-financial rewards, which
are combined to form a total reward system.
