Conclusion
For more than half a century, literary disputes have been going on about the work of David Herbert Lawrence, a prominent representative of the artistic avant-garde in England of the 20th century. There are different views and opinions about the work of this writer, but one thing remains unchanged - Lawrence contributed to the development of literature. Even during his lifetime, he was either proclaimed a brilliant prophet of new art and a new morality, or condemned as a heretic and immoralist . Since critics did not remain indifferent to his figure and his literary heritage, since his novels are read to this day, it is an indisputable fact that Lawrence is a well-deserved master of his craft.
The problems raised by him remain relevant to this day, because already in his time the loss of moral values began, the enslavement of man by all-consuming industrialization, the question of the ecological situation was raised. Enrichment has become the main goal of man, and this problem is most relevant today. For the sake of profit, a person is capable of anything, but he does not care how his actions will affect other people, his subordinates, or the world around him. And Lawrence, who raised all these issues, tried to carry them through all his work. He created his own philosophical concept, a "new religion", a new novel.
