Group task  

 

Produce  a  set  of  financial  documents  to  be  reviewed  during  the  shareholders 

meeting 

 

1.  In groups of four or five, choose a local public company from the list provided by the module leader. 

Before choosing, make sure that sufficient financial and nonfinancial information on the company is 

available.  Use

  or  the  official  website  of  the  company  as  a  primary  source  of 

company information. In case of difficulty of finding the statements, contact the company, auditing 

firms or investment and brokerage firms such as Freedom Finance Uzbekistan (

2.  Evaluate the  financial performance of  the  local  company  comparing  it  with  the  industry  average, 

using financial ratio analysis.  

 

3.  Prepare  a  Cash  Flow  Statement  (using  indirect  method)  for  the  last  accounting  period  using 

financial statements provided in

.   

 

4.  Estimate the financial performance of the company by calculating the financial ratios for the past 

two years (2019 and 2020 accounts if available, otherwise 2018 and 2019 accounts).
