PROCESSING OF HOUSEHOLD AND INDUSTRIAL 

WASTE FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING OIL 

PRODUCTS

In  connection  with  the  depletion  of  oil  reserves,  the 

problem  arises  of  finding  alternative  sources  of  carbon-

hydrogen  raw  materials  for  the  production  of  motor  fuels  and 

other  petroleum  products.  At  the  same  time,  the  problem  of 

utilization  of  various  organic  wastes  is  acute.  Therefore,  it  is 

urgent to create a technology that allows you to efficiently and 

economically  process  various  types  of  organic  waste  into 

petroleum products. 

As a raw material for the production of oil products, two 

main  groups  of  organic  waste  can  be  used:  waste  oil  and 

petrochemicals (oil sludge) and household waste. 

Waste  oil  and  petrochemicals  (sludge)  can  be  recycled 

and disposed of by various means. 

Mechanical  methods  consist  in  mixing  and  physical 

separation of sludge with the extraction of petroleum products, 

water and solid residue. 

Thermal  processing  methods  are  based  on  combustion,

vapor-air  gasification,  pyrolysis,  or  plasma  treatment  to 

produce either gas, or heat, or electricity. 

Extraction  methods  consist  in  the  selective  solubility  of 

petroleum products in organic solvents. 

Municipal  solid  waste  (MSW)  is  a  coarse  mechanical 

mixture  of  various  organic  materials,  differing  in  physical, 

chemical and mechanical properties and sizes. 

The  proposed  method  of  recycling  by  coking  has  the 

following advantages over the known methods of recycling: 

-coking  is  carried  out  without  air  access,  which 

eliminates emissions of toxic gases (CO, NOx, SОx); 

-in  the  process  of  coking  the  raw  material,  a  less  deep 

thermal  destruction  of  it  takes  place,  which  ensures  a  greater 

yield of liquid products; 

-  application  of  the  coking  process  provides  a  clear 

separation  of  the  phases  -  solid,  liquid,  gas-shaped  during  the 

processing of waste
