so they grounded  m e  and d id n ’t let m e go  to  a party at the w eekend. 

I ’m  not  really sure why  I  got so  angry  about  it.  I  think p art o f m e  felt 

guilty th at  my frien d ’s  m um   had  gone  to  the  effort o f cooking for me 

and  I  h a d n ’t  been  able  to  eat  it.  It  was  fair  enough  th a t  my  p aren ts 

punished  me  because  I  was  really  rude  to  them ,  b u t  it  w asn’t  a  very 

good  punishm ent  because  even  though  they  stopped  m e  from   going 

to the party, they did let me go to the sam e friend’s house after  school 

on an o th er night  later th at week!
