Would a world without mobile phones be a better or worse place?

To  be  honest,  I  think  th at  w ithout  m obile  phones  the  w orld  w ould 

probably  be  a worse  place.  They  are just  so  convenient!  However,  it 

might  be  b etter  to  go  back  to  the  very  first  phones,  w here  you  could 

only make calls.  I think that texting can be a bit im personal and people 

often  read  into  texts  too  much,  which  is  unhealthy.  A nd  I  think  th at 

having  constant  access  to  the  in te rn e t  is  also  u nhealthy  because  it 

m akes  it  harder  for  people  to  switch  off and just  appreciate  w hat  is 

happening  in  the  real world  around  them   (as  they  are  constantly dis­

tracted by the online virtual world).
